Perle des Baltikums [Pearl of Baltic] 2013

A documentary about the underbelly of Riga the capital of Latvia. I searched for the people and places in the shadow of the city, struggling with poverty, addictions, crime and no or little perspective. For one week I wandered around those areas of the town who are shuttered for the eye of most visitors to encounter the people who spend their life here.
